AI & TECH ADVISORY FOR CONSTRUCTION

The right tools for your jobs.
Vetted, not sold.

Leanhour helps mid-size contractors and owners cut through the noise — identifying, vetting, and connecting the AI and software tools that actually fit how your office and your field crews work. No vendor kickbacks, no bias toward any one platform.

What we do

Full-lifecycle tech advisory, built for how contractors actually run jobs.

Borrowed from the owner's-rep model contractors already trust — applied to software and AI instead of steel and concrete. We sit on your side of the table through the whole decision, not just the sale.

01

Workflow Assessment

Understanding how estimating, scheduling, and field reporting actually run today — before recommending a single tool.

02

Tool & Vendor Sourcing

Identifying and vetting AI and software vendors matched to your trade mix, crew size, and existing systems.

03

Proposal & Pricing Review

Comparing vendor quotes and licensing tiers side by side, so you know exactly what you're paying for.

04

Contract & Terms Review

A plain-English pass on vendor agreements, data ownership, and lock-in terms before anyone signs.

05

System Integration

Making sure a new tool actually talks to your accounting, estimating, and project management software.

06

Rollout Oversight

Keeping setup and implementation on schedule, so a new system doesn't stall a live job.

07

Team Training & Adoption

Hands-on training for PMs, supers, and office staff, so what you bought actually gets used.

08

Budget & ROI Tracking

Tracking cost against hours actually saved — tools earn their place or they get cut.

09

Ongoing Advisory

One point of contact for tech decisions, so you're not fielding cold calls from every software rep alone.

Who it's for

Built for the contractors software companies don't design for.

Too big to run on spreadsheets and sticky notes, too lean to carry a full-time IT or ops hire. That's the gap Leanhour works in.

General & specialty contractors

Mid-size crews, growing fast

10–150 employees, juggling multiple jobs at once, where the wrong tool wastes a super's time in the field, not just an office chair.

Owners & developers

Managing several projects at once

Need visibility across GCs, budgets, and schedules without living inside five different platforms that don't talk to each other.

Outgrowing the basics

Past spreadsheets, not sure what's next

Ready to move off manual tracking but wary of over-buying an enterprise platform built for contractors ten times their size.

How it works

A simple, three-step engagement.

Same discipline as a bid process — just applied to software instead of subcontractors.

01

Discover

A free, no-jargon walkthrough of how your office and field crews actually operate today — no prior AI or software knowledge required.

02

Assess & Recommend

We compare the realistic options — including doing nothing — and tell you plainly which fits and why. No bias toward any one platform.

03

Connect & Run

We oversee setup and integration with your existing systems; your team ends up running it with confidence, not depending on us.

About

An owner's-side advocate — for your tech stack, not your build.

Leanhour is based in Strongsville, Ohio, and grew out of two decades running commercial construction and facilities programs — qualifying contractors, running competitive bids, executing AIA contracts, and keeping anywhere from 6 to 16 projects moving at once without losing sight of budget or schedule.

That background is the lens every engagement runs through: the same rigor used to vet a general contractor gets applied to vetting a software vendor. We've built and coached teams of project managers, run multi-site rollout programs across hundreds of locations nationwide, and led compliance programs touching nearly a thousand facilities — so we know the difference between a tool that looks good in a demo and one that survives a live jobsite.

Every engagement runs through the same lens, whether you're a specialty sub buying your first estimating software or a developer connecting five job sites' worth of data into one view.
